Benmarc Environmental responding to a customer’s request developed and patented a device that eliminated fugitive dust emissions off an active stockpile. The Benmarc “Spray Tower” was designed as mobile piece of equipment that can adapt to the constant dimension changes of an active stack out operation.

All active and inactive stockpiles experience fugitive dust emissions especially during the dry windy seasonal periods in the Northen Cape. In addition, water availability is an issue adding operating costs to mining operations.  Couple the Benmarc “Spray Tower’ with a surface pile binder, dust emissions are brought under control with minimum water consumption.

Benmarc’s Spray Tower Systems are designed to apply water and/or water/chemical solution. The benefits of applying water/chemical solution reduces the frequency of application and lower dust emissions. The system is capable both BM515E for active piles and BMISP for inactive piles.
